The photograph below shows a young puppy named Lily. Lily, a victim of inbreeding before birth, was born with an extra leg extruding from the center of her stomach. Lily's extra leg contains six toes; the rest of her legs contain the normal number of five. Lily is a perfect example of how inbreeding is one of the major reasons for animal deformities.
